Unlocking the legs is quick because you can unlock them simultaneously. The maximum height is 152.4 when the centre column is up, and the minimum height is 14cm with the legs spread. On top of that, you can put the centre column completely upside down for the perfect grass level.

The ballhead is part of the innovative compact design of the tripod. It has no protrusions in the form of screws and levers. The head has a single adjustment ring that allows movement in all directions and locks in place with a locking ring directly above the adjustment ring. The quick-release system is compatible with Arca-Swiss discs, but of course it can also be used with Peak Design own discs. Arca type L-bars are also suitable when you remove the head safety screws. The camera and lens can weigh a good nine kilos. It even comes with a cell phone adapter.
