Rode Boompole Pro - soundman Esko's second most important tool
The Rode Boompole Pro gives the sound man a bit more hand-holding, as much as three metres, when using shotgun mics. What do you mean, the second most important tool? A loaded pigeon is, of course, the most important. In any case, the 3/8" industry standard mounting boom is designed for applications such as SM3 shock mounts, RMS stand mounts (NT5, NTG1 and NTG2) and VideoMic for microphones. The five-section boom shrinks to just over eighty centimetres in transit.
