I know you know that feeling when you're streaming and you're staring at 15 inch monitors and you're scrambling to find something bigger, and lo and behold the Seetec 28″ 4K Quad View Carry-On Broadcast Monitor with Flight Case is just what you need.

It is a 28 inch 4K 3840×2160 resolution field monitor with four HDMI inputs. One of these is HDMI 2.0 and supports UHD 4K60 resolution, three inputs are HDMI 1.4 which supports UHD 4K30 resolution and 3G-SDI, VGA and DVI inputs are also available. This is an ideal tool for many things, not least colour definition but most importantly broadcast monitoring on the go. Or if you're a director and want to see footage on a slightly larger screen live.

The resolution is indeed the above mentioned 3840×2160 up to 60 frames per second, and the contrast ratio on this beauty is 1000:1. The LED backlit panel has a brightness of 300cd/m² and the video is very faithful to the source material. The viewing angle is a comfortable 170º/160º vertical/horizontal. There is little colour variation even when viewing the broadcast from a wide angle. There are a whopping 1.07 billion colours.

The 4K designation in the model name comes from the fact that the device receives 4K resolution from four sources and indeed displays the material in 4K. The device is quite handy not only on location but also in post-production. For focus checking, the device features Focus Peaking, False Color for exposure and Pixel to Pixel. Getting an accurate and correctly exposed image is really easy. The cropping tools include Center Marker, Safety marker, Grid Marker to prevent the image from cropping incorrectly in live view. Other functions include Image Zoom, Check Field, Image Freeze, Color Temperature adjustments and so on.

Easy to use buttons. When you have a fast live situation you want easy to control equipment, and the Seetec 28″ meets this need. It features a simple control panel with 4 separate HDMI buttons to quickly select the program source, four shortcut buttons (F1-F4) to perform the functions you choose.

Real colours. Seetec 28″ 4K Quad View uses the professional Rec.709 HD colour standard, and is factory calibrated. The colours are spot on and you see the picture as it goes out.

The aluminium flight case is a smart touch for a gig monitor, the screen stays intact and the handles make it easy to carry around. The front and rear panels are removable so it's handy to use inside the box.

Unique design with efficiency in mind. Time is money for film crews, and the package is put together according to the wishes of filmmakers. Set-up and dismantling is really fast.

You can use the screen for Multiview, Quad View / Dual View or just one image. Left/right split, top/bottom split, picture-in-picture split where the size and position of one signal can be changed, and quad split.

The power supply is also made flexible, you can use mains power with the included transformer, or plug in a V-lock battery. If you add a wireless video receiver like the Accsoon products then video monitoring is really flexible.

The device has speakers, as well as a headphone jack.
