The Smallrig 3666 Baseplate for Sony Alpha 7 IV is a specially designed baseplate for Sony's new Sony A7 IV body. It attaches to the camera base with 1/4" -20 screws and an alignment pin. In the slot on the underside you can attach the microphone. The base is not only Arca Swiss compatible, it is also DJi RS2 and RSC2 compatible. The base comes with an included tool for attachments.

Fits like a glove. The grip is improved, the Sony a7 IV body adds just the right amount of dimension, but not much weight.
While the ergonomics of the a7iv are already good, this product adds just the right amount of grip area even though I have a small hand. The strap attaches to the attachment point on the edge, leaving the threads on the base free of attachment anchors. An excellent, simple and functional product.
With the baseplate, the Sony a7 IV is a very balanced set, at least in my hand. The grip of the camera is greatly improved and the size and weight do not change significantly. Another plus is the cold shoe interface.
