Tutustu myös muihin astronomical telescopes in our range.
Your smartphone guides you to your destinations
Place your phone in the StarSense dock and launch the StarSense Explorer app. After approximately two minutes of alignment, the app will display a list of the celestial objects currently visible. Select an object, follow the arrows on the screen, and when the crosshairs turn green, the object will be visible through the eyepiece. The system works on the iPhone 6 and later models, as well as on most Android devices manufactured from 2016 onwards running Android 7.1.2 or later.
Slow-speed adjustments on both axles
The alt-azimuth mount’s slide switches and dual-axis damped controls help to move the tube smoothly and fine-tune the alignment to the target. You can track a target drifting across the sky simply by turning a knob, whilst the adjustable full-height tripod provides a stable base.
Views of the city against a dark sky
StarBright XLT coatings on all glass surfaces in contact with the air improve contrast and light transmission. Even in a city with light pollution, you can see, for example, Jupiter’s Galilean moons, cloud bands and the Great Red Spot, Saturn’s rings, Venus and the Orion Nebula. Under a darker sky, you’ll also be able to see, amongst other things, the Andromeda Galaxy and the Hercules Cluster.
Main features
- StarSense positioning, which is based on a smartphone, replaces star charts and a computerised mount.
- The app lists the items currently on display and uses the on-screen arrows to navigate to them.
- The Schmidt-Cassegrain design offers a 125 mm aperture and a 1,250 mm focal length in a compact tube.
- StarBright XLT coatings bring out the subtle details of the Moon, planets, galaxies and nebulae.
- The two eyepieces supplied provide magnifications of 50x and 150x.
- With the red-dot sight, the telescope can also be used without a mobile phone.
- Two-axis slow-motion controls make it easier to track a subject as it moves across the sky.
