Fujinon 250mm f/4 R LM OIS WR - telephoto lens for GF bayonet

Fujino's 250mm f/4 R LM OIS WR is the longest fixed focal length lens for GFX cameras and is at its best when shooting wildlife and sports. The amazingly sharp medium telephoto lens is quite a monster but easily worth every penny. Its focal length equivalent in small format (or so-called full-frame) is around 197.50mm. Its aperture equivalent is again f/3.16. Its 16 elements in ten groups include one Super ED element and two ELD (extra-low dispersion) elements to reduce chromatic aberration and colour bleed. Colour accuracy and brightness are on tap. The lens is protected from the elements.

Unlike most GF glasses, this model has an optical stabilizer that stabilizes up to 5 apertures.

The lens has a manual aperture corrector which gives a very tangible sense of aperture adjustment.

The front element is coated with fluorine which repels dirt and water. A nine-leaf dimmer helps to produce a soft bokeh.

The fast internal linear focus mechanism makes focusing fast and the lens does not change its length when focusing. Optical performance is good over the entire focus range. The body has a three-position focus range limiting switch. A pre-programmable focus preset knob focuses quickly to a pre-set distance. An upgraded linear motor locks focus when the camera is switched off, so that when it is switched on again, focus is locked at the last used range.

The brass bayonet is durable and rigid and will hold its fixing tolerances for a long time.

The lens is compatible with the GF 1.4X TC WR Teleconverter, which extends the focal length to 350 mm.
