26-megapixel sensor and BIONZ XR
Backlit 26 MP APS-C Exmor R sensor Together with the BIONZ XR processor, it delivers crisp images even at high ISO settings and across a wide dynamic range. The sensor’s fast readout speed reduces rolling shutter distortion in both continuous shooting and video recording.
AI-powered autofocus
The A6700’s separate AI processing unit It recognises not only people but also animals, birds, insects, cars, trains and aeroplanes. When tracking people, the camera also recognises their posture, so the focus remains on the subject even if their face turns away. The hybrid autofocus system with 759 phase-detection points is fast and reliable in both stills and video.
For handheld imaging with a grid stabiliser
The five-axis image stabiliser works with any lens, including fixed lenses without image stabilisation. In the video, Active mode smooths out movement whilst walking.
Professional-quality video
The A6700 records 4K60- 6K oversampled video across the entire width of the sensor, as well as 4K120-slow-motion (limited). Features include 10-bit 4:2:2 recording, S-Log3, S-Cinetone and the ability to use custom LUTs whilst filming. A tilting screen, microphone and headphone sockets, and a product showcase mode also make it an excellent vlogging and content creation camera.
Long battery life
The A6700 uses the same large NP-FZ100- It has a battery similar to that of Sony’s full-frame cameras, so a single charge will last well into the day. The camera can also be charged and used via USB-C.
Who is the Sony A6700 suitable for?
